Oracle DBA – L2

• Install Oracle Single/RAC Software
• Create Oracle Single/RAC Database
• Oracle Database Patch management (CPU, Security Patches).
• Managing the Oracle ASM instances, Disgroup, Diskspaces etc.
• Managing Oracle Instances including database initialization parameter etc.
• Managing Database Storage Structure like size of tablespaces and datafiles, create user, create roles, profiles etc.
• Install, Configure the Oracle DataGuard / Active DataGuard.
• Managing Performance
  a) Tune the Data Design
  b) Tune Database operations
  c) Apply Oracle/MySQL CPU patches & patches
• Gather statics monthly, check all the logs for any issue, reorganize indexes and tables.
• Administer User Security :
  a) Manage database user accounts,
  b) Manage roles with appropriate privileges/rights
  c) Implement standard password security feature for users
• Monitor the Database Backup and perform database backups based on requirement.
• Support the DR Drill Operations which is scheduled every quarter/half yearly.
• Oracle Database DR switching and switch back of database( DC - DR switch over and failback)
• Auditing of changes in database to be enabled
• Enabling backup for Oracle (RMAN) backup & Restoration when required.
